Life and Experiences

Can you please tell us a little bit about yourself? Some fun facts and anecdotes from your life.

I am a woman, mother, professional, business entrepreneur, corporate anthropologist, and wife. My daughters are wonderful joys, with great husbands and children. Some of the most meaningful moments in my life have come from unexpected places and I truly believe in the power of the moment, and serendipity. Here is one:

I met my husband at a summer camp. He was tending bar at a lodge, and I was a camp counselor. We were young and full of the joy that comes from youth. We were sitting on the beach one day and he asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up. I told him I was going to be an attorney or an anthropologist. He said: “Oh be an anthropologist, and I will be here for you.” And so, with his support I have been an anthropologist ever since, even sharing my passion with my young daughters when I took them to Greece to conduct research way before there was zoom or even iPhones.
