Jean Su's story

Life and Experiences

Can you please tell us a little bit about yourself? Some fun facts and anecdotes from your life.

I met and greeted President Nixon on his first trip to Beijing in 1972, and his last trip to Beijing in 1986.

I have lived in Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Boston, Silicon Valley, Napa and now live in Los Angeles. I have traveled to over 40 countries.

I am an entrepreneur and co-founded several successful businesses. I am a life long learner of new skills to undertake new challenges. For example, I started skiing when I was 40, and now can comfortably ski down black diamond runs. I started playing tennis at 50, and am now a 3.5 level player with much room to grow. I have studied gourmet home cooking on my own, and now can create a meal equivalent to a “Michelin recommend” level restaurant. I started classical piano lessons four years ago, and know this will be a great passion for the rest of my life.
